Makes 4 to 5 dozen cookies

Ingredients:

1 lb

unsalted butter, softened

1 cup

(250 mL)
|
M&M Drink Crystals (any flavour)
|

1 cup

(250 mL)
|
granulated sugar
|
|
2

large eggs
|
|
1 tsp
|
(5 mL)
|
vanilla extract
|
|
4 cups
|
(1 L)
|
all purpose flour

Preparation:

Using an electric mixer, cream together butter, drink crystals, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Turn the mixer to low speed and add the flour all at once. Mix just until the mixture comes together to form a ball.
Remove the dough from the mixer and knead lightly to bring all of the crumbs into a ball. Roll dough into logs (two types of dough can be swirled together to create a multi-coloured log) and chill for two hours in the fridge. Slice and bake at 325 F for 12-14 minutes.

Cookie dough can also be shaped into small balls, flattened or rolled out and cut with a cookie cutter like sugar cookies.
