Tzatziki Dip for Pork Souvlaki
 
This cool, garlicky Greek dip is a classic condiment to serve with our Souvlaki Pork or Barbecue Chicken Kabobs.

Makes about 500 mL/2 cups

 
Ingredients:
 
3/4 cup (175 mL) finely shredded English cucumber
1-1/2 cups (375 mL) plain non-fat yogurt
1 large clove garlic, crushed
1 tbsp (15 mL) olive oil
1 tbsp (15 mL) finely chopped fresh dill or mint, optional
1 tsp (5 mL) lemon juice
 
Preparation:
 
Press shredded cucumber on several thickness of paper towel to remove as much water as possible.

In medium bowl, mix together cucumber, yogurt, garlic, olive oil, dill, if using, and lemon juice. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour to allow flavors to develop. Serve with grilled M&M Souvlaki Pork Kabob.
