Atlantic Promotion 2006
Contest closes with entries received or purchases made by close of business, on Friday, June 23rd, 2006 (Contest Close Date). One (1) Grand Prize Winner and twenty-five (25) Second Prize winners will be selected in a random draw from all eligible entries received from participating stores in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, P.E.I. and Newfoundland, or mail-in entrants residing in these provinces. Draw will be held in Kitchener, Ontario, on Tuesday, June 27th, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. EST. The chances of being selected are dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received from all participating M&M Meat Shops and mail-in entrants.
By using your M&M MAX card at participating M&M Meat Shops stores in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, P.E.I. and Newfoundland, from Saturday, May 27th, 2006, through to the close of business on Friday, June 23rd, 2006, your purchase will automatically register one electronic contest entry ballot for the sweepstakes promotion. Maximum one entry per transaction, per day. Only one (1) Grand Prize will be awarded among all eligible entries from all participating stores and there will be one Second winner drawn from each of the twenty-five participating stores.
The Grand Prize consists of 7 days/6 nights standard hotel accommodation (1 room double occupancy or 2 adjoining rooms if required) for a family of six (6) at Digby Pines Golf Resort and Spa in Digby, Nova Scotia arranged directly through Digby Pines Golf Resort and Spa. The definition of “family” for the purpose of this promotion is anyone residing at the same address that is immediate family. Immediate family is defined as Mother, Father, Common-Law Spouse, Brother, Sister, Son, Daughter, Step-Child, Step-Mother or Step-Father. Grand Prize also includes 3 meals per day for each of the 6 family members. This includes a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner at any of the two restaurants at the resort and includes up to a three-course meal per person for each sitting. Prize winner and family members are responsible for transportation costs to and from the resort. All other costs and expenses associated with the prize including, but not limited to, transportation costs, proper travel documentation, travel and medical insurance, drinks, room service, gratuities, telephone calls, merchandise, green fees, spa fees and all other expenses not specifically described as included in the prize, are the responsibility of the prize winner and his/her family members. Travel reservations must be booked through Digby Pines Golf Resort and Spa. Prize must be booked and used by September 30, 2006, and may be subject to blackout periods and space restrictions. Approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $4,700.00 CAN funds. The prize winner and travelling family members are solely responsible for ensuring they have the proper travel documentation, including passports and visas if applicable.
The Second Prize consists of twenty-five (25) $100.00 M&M Meat Shops Gift Cards (one per participating store). This prize will be available for pick up at the participating M&M Meat Shops store location where the winners’ electronic ballot originated from.
To enter a “no purchase” ballot, mail your complete name, address, home telephone number (including area code) and MAX customer number with sufficient postage to: Atlantic Sweepstakes, M&M Meat Shops Head Ltd. Office, 640 Trillium Drive, P.O. Box 2488, Kitchener, Ontario N2H 6M3. M&M MAX customer numbers can be obtained without charge at any M&M Meat Shops location in Canada.
Limit of one “no purchase” entry per envelope with sufficient postage. To be eligible, mail-in entries must arrive in Kitchener, Ontario before the contest closing date, Friday, June 23rd, 2006. No photocopied or mechanically reproduced entries will be accepted. M&M Meat Shops Ltd., its franchisees, affiliates, agents, and partners will not be responsible for lost, stolen, misdirected, late, damaged, illegible, incomplete, delayed or postage-due entries.
Once the declaration and release form is signed, the winners name will be posted on our website at www.mmmeatshops.com. Prior to being declared a winner, the selected entrant will be contacted by phone and must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, arithmetical skill-testing question, and will be required to sign and return a declaration and release form a) confirming compliance with the rules and regulations and acceptance of prize as offered b) acknowledging the non-responsibility and release of M&M Meat Shops Ltd., its franchisees, partners and affiliates, Digby Pines Golf and Spa Resort and their respective advertising and promotional agencies and the judges from all liability, prior to awarding of the prize, in respect to injury, accident, or loss or misfortune relating to aspects of the prize and c) acknowledging the right of M&M Meat Shops Ltd., its agents and partners without limitation, to publish the selected entrant’s name, address, photograph, voice or statements without charge or compensation, other than the prize offered. If the selected entrant is not eligible or does not qualify, or does not respond or cannot be contacted by phone after three (3) attempts within fifteen (15) days, fails to answer the skill testing question correctly, or declines to sign the declaration and release form, another contestant will be selected at random, with selections continuing until an eligible and qualifying contestant has been selected.
The winner is responsible for the proper use of his/her prize once awarded, and the winner’s acceptance of the prize releases M&M Meat Shops Ltd., its franchisees, its partners and affiliates, Digby Pines and their respective advertising and promotional agencies and the contest judges from all liability relating to the contest or the prize. The travelling family members will be required to sign a standard liability/publicity release. Prize is non-transferrable, non-exchangeable, not convertible to cash and must be accepted by the winner as awarded. No substitutions will be allowed for any reason whatsoever, unless M&M Meat Shops Ltd., in its sole discretion, substitutes the prize or component of it with a prize or prize component of equivalent kind or value. In the event the person whose name is drawn is unable to accept the prize as awarded or does not collect his/her prize within fifteen (15) days of notification, then he/she will forfeit the prize and an alternate winner will be selected. To be eligible to win, selected entrants must be M&M MAX Customers and reside in one of the following provinces: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, P.E.I. or Newfoundland. There is no cost to become an M&M MAX Customer. The winner(s) will be contacted directly with the details on how he/she will receive his/her prize.
The contest is open only to residents of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, P.E.I. or Newfoundland who are M&M MAX Customers at the time of entry and are over the age of majority in their province of residence, except employees, representatives, agents, or franchisees of M&M Meat Shops Ltd., its affiliates, Digby Pines and their respective advertising and promotional agencies, the judges, and all persons with whom these employees, representatives, agents and franchisees are domiciled.
All decisions of the contest judges are final with respect to all aspects of this contest. M&M Meat Shops Ltd. reserves the right to change the terms of this contest or terminate it at any time without prior notice. Prize will be awarded from electronic ballots received from each participating M&M Meat Shops store location and mail-in entrants.
All entries become the property of M&M Meat Shops Ltd. and will not be returned. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected winners who will be notified by telephone and informed of all necessary arrangements. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by the contest rules and the decisions of the judges, which are final, and consent to the use of their name, address and/or photograph, without compensation, in any future publicity carried out by M&M Meat Shops Ltd. in connection with this contest and/or in connection with any other advertising carried out by M&M Meat Shops Ltd.
M&M Meat Shops Ltd. assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for any failure, or for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, or computer transmission during the promotional period.
This contest is subject to all applicable federal and provincial laws.
There will be one Grand Prize (approximate retail value $4,700.00 CAN) and twenty-five Second Prizes (retail value of $100.00 each) awarded in this draw.
