Top on your favourite M&M dessert, such as Apple Pie. The combination of mascarpone and whipping cream provides a soft and supple background to other flavours – for a tangy version, try adding the zest of 1 lemon or orange, along with 3 tbsp (45 mL) frozen orange juice or lemonade from concentrate, plus 2 tbsp (30 mL) of honey to the cream, instead of the maple syrup.
Makes 1/2 cup (180 mL)
Ingredients:
1/2 cup

mascarpone
1/2 cup
(125 mL)
whipping cream
1/2 cup
(125 mL)
maple syrup
Preparation:
Beat the mascarpone until creamy.
Beat in whipping cream until smooth. Add other ingredients and combine. Add additional mascarpone or whipping cream to reach desired consistency.
Store refrigerated until ready to use (will keep for up to 1 day). Let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before serving.
